Privacy policy

Effective 1 November 2026. Applies to the NotePort Chrome extension and the website noteport.dev.

In short: NotePort does not collect, store, or sell any of your data. Your notes travel from your browser to Obsidian on your own computer, and nowhere else.

What NotePort does with your data

NotePort reads the Studio Notes you choose to export from a NotebookLM page open in your browser, converts them to Markdown, and sends them to the Obsidian Local REST API running on your own computer, so they are saved in your vault.

This happens entirely inside your browser and between your browser and your own machine. The developer of NotePort never receives your notes, your notebooks, or any information about how you use the extension.

What is stored on your device

NotePort saves your settings in your browser’s extension storage. This includes:

These settings stay in your browser. You can remove them at any time by clearing the extension’s data or uninstalling it.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. If a change affects how your data is handled, it will be announced in the extension’s release notes.
